Fox Dance Studios welcomed Step Beyond Dance Studios into their family in 2025. We now continue to offer a team of highly regarded professionals dedicated to bringing the highest quality of dance tuition including Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary Dance.

As a community, we encourage our young people to support one another so as to develop and evolve their sense of confidence, technique and creativity in a healthy environment.

TAP, JAZZ, CONTEMPORARY, LYRICAL, HIP HOP
Sam
Sam heads up Fox Dance Studios as Studio Director. Known as “The Fox” Sam has danced all over the world as an entertainment star on cruise ship before establishing his own studio to share his passion for the world of dance. Sam’s philosophy is to offer both Open and Structured Syllabus classes so each student can develop at their own speed, and level of enjoyment. Whether a student is dancing for the love of dance, or focused on the exam route Sam believes a nurturing environment is what will help each dancer develop confidence in their own talent and goals. Sam achieved his Solo Seal in multiple genres before proceeding to train at the NZ School of Dance. He then emigrated to Australia for Commercial Dance training.

HIP HOP, K-POP
Hana
Hana teaches Hip Hop Fusion and K-pop. Hana loves to share the joy of dance with her students. She competes internationally with IDCO and in 2022 placed 2nd in the Junior Varsity Division in the USA with Yung ID.

JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATER, PRE SCHOOL, BALLET
Margaret
Margaret brings a wealth of dance-teaching experience and a deep passion for inspiring students of all abilities. She holds her Teacher qualifications, Solo Seal and Advanced qualifications across multiple dance genres, and has worked in the dance industry as a studio owner, freelance choreographer, and competition adjudicator throughout New Zealand. Over the years, Margaret has trained and mentored many students who have gone on to become dance teachers and professional dancers themselves, reflecting her dedication to nurturing the next generation of performers. Her approach aligns perfectly with Fox’s philosophy that there are no limitations when it comes to a student’s ability to enjoy and benefit from dance. Margaret believes every dancer has unique potential and is committed to creating a supportive, encouraging environment where students can build confidence, develop their skills, and truly relish the joy of movement.

JAZZ, BALLET, CONTEMPORARY
Bronte
Bronte is a popular teacher for Jazz, Ballet and Contemporary Dance. She earned her Bachelor of Dance Studies at The University of Auckland with Honours. Bronte is currently completing PhD in Dance Education and Diversity.

HIP HOP, JAZZ, PRE-SCHOOL
Sophia
Sophia has 8 years of experience, training at Neverland Studios. She taught across a large range of styles like Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Jazz. She has been assisting and teaching for over 3 years, working with children 3-12 years old. For the past 4 years, Sophia has been dancing competitively with Rangitoto College, competing and leading dance troupes to competitions such as NDC and Dance NZ Made.

HIP HOP
Ashley
Ash is our Hip-Hop Mini and Junior teacher. She has been with Fox Studios since the beginning – she’s family! A talented dancer herself, Ash loves working with the kids. and is a full-time teacher at Long Bay.

BALLET
Amy
Amy is a beautiful dancer and Ballet teacher. She has danced with Black Grace, touring NZ, Germany, and Korea. Amy holds a Certificate in Performing Arts from Brent Street, and won the lead role in What Becomes of the Broken Hearted (Mary Jane O’Reilly) for 2 seasons.

HIP HOP, JAZZ, ACRO
Chloe
Chloe brings her expertise and experience in Hip Hop, Jazz and Acro. She is a passionate singer and dancer with a genuine love for performing and sharing the stage with others. She began her performing journey at just five years old, competing in both dance and singing, and quickly developed a strong connection to the performing arts. Over the years Chloe has trained extensively in jazz, tap and contemporary, earning full BAL and NZAMD qualifications in both tap and jazz. Her dedication to tap dance has also seen her recognised as one of the top tap dancers in New Zealand, and she has attended NZDA several times. She is currently preparing to compete at PACANZ later this year. Alongside her dance training, Chloe has enjoyed being part of a variety of stage productions, including performing the role of Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. She also performs regularly around the country as part of the vocal trio 3DeciBelles.

BALLET, SPANISH DANCE
Von
Von is a dance educator, choreographer, and studio director with over three decades of experience in Ballet and cross-genre dance education. Raised in the studio from the age of four, Von was trained by her late mother, Sally Sieg, a highly respected Royal Academy of Dance teacher. This grounded her early in RAD Ballet and Spanish Dance Society methodology. Her training spans Royal Academy of Dance ballet, Spanish dance (regional, classical, and flamenco), jazz, modern, and hip-hop, with major-level achievements enabling an early transition into teaching. Von’s career has included extensive performance experience, international competition success, and mentorship under world-renowned Spanish and flamenco artists in South Africa and Spain. Von holds multiple accreditations including Silver Swans® Licensee, Rambert Grades Contemporary, Jazz Ed Teacher Accreditation, Progressive Contemporary Technique Instructor, and Instructor de Baile with the Spanish Dance Society with Graded Qualifications Alliance in the UK. She also teaches the NZAMD ballet syllabus, alongside Spanish, jazz, and contemporary dance. Having previously owned and operated her own dance studio in South Africa, Von emigrated to New Zealand in 2022, where she re-established her studio and continued her commitment to high-quality dance education. After relocating, Von resumed teaching with a renewed focus on strong technical foundations, anatomical awareness, emotional intelligence, and nurturing a lifelong love of dance. Her teaching philosophy places student wellbeing at the centre of her practice, with ballet as the cornerstone discipline supporting strength, artistry, and longevity across all genres. She has also completed RAD Teaching Certificate Programme seminars and is currently formalising her RAD teacher accreditation with the methodology that shaped her foundation.

ACRO
Fanni
Fanni has been dancing acrobatic rock and roll for 13 years. A four-time World Champion, dance has been a central part of her life for as long as she can remember. With over five years of experience teaching Acro and dance to children, she is passionate about helping others learn new skills, build confidence, and enjoy movement. She loves sharing her knowledge and energy through dance and creating a positive, fun, and motivating environment for every student.

BALLET
Jacqui Rose
Jacqui is an experienced dancer and passionate dance teacher, specialising in ballet. She completed the Full-Time Dancer Training Course at the National Theatre Ballet School in Melbourne and was also an associate member of the Australian Ballet School. Jacqui has successfully completed the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.) Ballet Syllabus up to the Advanced Level. With years of training and performance experience, Jacqui brings both expertise and a deep love for dance to her students, inspiring them to reach their full potential.

CO-OWNER, WARDROBE COSTUME MISTRESS
Debbie
Debbie is Co-Owner and the heart and soul of Fox Dance Studios. If something needs to be done, Debbie will usually be doing it. As wardrobe mistress she is often seen surrounded by yards of lycra, tulle and sequins. But it is her creative energy and ideas which have helped Fox grow to what it has become today. The annual production is her special project from theme and venues, all the way through to brochure creation and production management. Never too busy to share a smile or an encouraging hug, Debbie brings our dance community together where every child gets a chance to shine.
